If you are nervous of using bodygrip traps then something like this can give you the confidence to become familiar with the traps.

This safety clips uses a pair of opposing hooks – spring loaded to keep them tight on the trap when it’s set, but with ‘stops’ to catch the jaws if the trap fires. They don’t hold the trap in the set position, but do stop it closing on your fingers !
